Scotch Doubles
Scotch Doubles will be ran over 3 game weeks and will be a Round Robin format for the first 2 of those then the semi final and final will be played on the 3rd in Best of format.
1st round will be max of 5 doubles pairs per group with everyone playing each other once. Top 1 players go through if there is a tie then a playoff is needed.
2nd round will be 4 doubles pairs per group with everyone playing each other twice. Top 1 player goes through to the semi finals.
Semi finals and Final will be Best of 7 & Best of 9 played on 1 night.
Entry Criteria
40 Entries maximum so we can get it done over 3 game weeks. If we have a full 40 there will be a reserve list but please only go on this if you can play at latest on the day with a few hours notice but hopefully it won't come to that.
Rules
In round 1 players will toss a coin or lag for the break in every match.
In round 2 players will toss a coin or lag for the break the first time they play each other then the break will go to the other player when they play the 2nd frame against the same player.
In the Semi final and Final players will toss a coin or lag for the break and then alternate until the match is complete.
Partners must alternate breaks between them also if playing more that a single match against a team.
